Planning a productive workshop day
Start with the outcome you want participants to leave with, then shape the agenda around it. A full-day workshop usually works best in blocks of focused content separated by short breaks and hands-on exercises. Share the draft agenda with us so the layout and screen content support each block rather than fighting it.
Choose a layout that fits the work. Classroom works well for note-heavy training, U-shape encourages discussion with a facilitator, and boardroom suits smaller strategy sessions. Tell us your headcount and how you want people to interact, and we will recommend an arrangement on the planning call.
Send facilitator materials ahead of time. Slides, videos and any polling or collaboration tools should be tested before the group arrives so the first minutes are spent on content, not cables.
Decide whether to record. If teammates cannot attend, or you want to build an internal training library, recording key segments turns one day into lasting material. Let participants know in advance which parts will be filmed, and plan quieter, unrecorded discussion time if the topics are sensitive.
