Designing your mastermind day
Map the arc of the day before you book. Most masterminds balance teaching, hot seats, small-group work and informal connection time. Sketch the sequence and note which segments need the full group, which need breakouts and which are best kept off camera.
Set expectations with members on confidentiality and recording. Decide in advance whether any sessions will be filmed, how footage will be used, and how members can opt out. Clear agreements protect the trust that makes a mastermind valuable.
Plan for remote members if you have them. A hybrid mastermind works best when remote participants have a dedicated way to contribute, such as a moderator who brings their questions into the conversation, rather than simply watching a feed.
Handle logistics early. Share arrival times, parking guidance once confirmed and nearby hotel options with out-of-town members. Ask about dietary needs if food will be involved, and decide whether you want time at the end of the day to record short member reflections, which can become powerful enrollment content with consent.
